A New Theme

posted in: Adventure | 7

I decided it was time for a change. After searching through the many themes on WordPress.com, I found this one, The Morning After, and liked it. It has many of the things I was looking for like wider posts. This also means bigger pics. I also like the homepage format.

It is a work in progress still since I’ll be adding a couple of pages and such, but I’m curious to know what you think. If you really like the change or really don’t like it, please let me know. I hope it makes your experience more enjoyable.

Here’s a preview of some upcoming adventures:

  • Huangshan, the most famous mountains from China besides the Li River karsts
  • Huainan and an interesting looking house
  • Anqing
  • Easter in China
  • And more!

Mom, I changed the look of my blog site. If you just got the post in your email then nothing should be different, but if you visit my site you will see a very different look.

I’m your mom’s cousin. I have enjoyed reading about your adventures in China.
I’m not particular about the format but I do like seeing the pics you send.

      Cindy,

Thank you for your comment. What is it specifically that you are not fond of, so I can assess it? Also, what did you really love about the old theme?

I’m planning on adding a photo gallery soon. I want this to be more like a personal website than solely a blog. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I’m not sure if I like it but it might grow on me. The heading where it says Adventure Patches isn’t as exciting as it was before and now seems like an ad at the top of the screen. I like the bar of pictures though.

Sus, I’m getting used to it too, but it’s growing on me. I want my blog to be more of a personal website. Check out my expanded about me section “The Adventurer” and let me know what you think. I also added a resources page with lots of links. Any other suggestions for pages, sidebar elements, etc. I ought to add?

Kevin, I just like seeing the adventure. I don’t know that it matters to me how it comes.
